April 30: VSP Monitoring Plan Event, Ellensburg and online

The Washington State Conservation Commission (SCC) is hosting an in-person hybrid meeting to support counties with the development of their VSP monitoring plans.

April 30, 2024, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. in Ellensburg and online

Overview:

Agenda

There is great work happening statewide and we want to bring the VSP community together to share monitoring resources and lessons learned and have a collaborative discussion on VSP monitoring.

Meeting highlights include:

  • Overview of the VSP monitoring plan process and existing resources.
  • Updates from state agency science and monitoring staff.
  • Break out discussions on VSP monitoring topics
  • Lunch (provided - please RSVP)
  • Group discussion and networking 

Please come prepared to:

  • Discuss the monitoring tools your county is considering using.
  • Bring resources or examples to share with participants.
  • Share your key challenges, roadblocks, and lessons learned.
     

Parking at CWU:

The workshop will be at the CWU Student Union Building in room, SURC 301. The closest parking is in the main parking lot on 11th Street.

Parking is $6 per day (government vehicles are exempt) and lots are outside the East entrance to the SURC. Daily passes can be purchased the day of online or at a kiosk, which only accepts credit cards. You will need your license plate number. One space per vehicle. Oversized vehicles and trailers are not permitted. Attendees may submit their parking cost as a reimbursement in their VSP billing to SCC.
